Industrial Engineer - 1585

Location: Southern CA

Develop and maintain layout of manufacturing areas. Study processes to ensure efficient flow patterns through manufacturing areas. Develop, maintain and control production documentation including Process Maps, Manufacturing Instructions, and Traceability Records. Set up manufacturing work stations to maximize available space, promote efficient line flow, minimize product defects, and maximize operator comfort. Analyze manufacturing operations to ensure balanced line flow and appropriate staffing and equipment. Interface with Design and Manufacturing Engineers to provide timely feedback on proposed design and process changes as it relates to the production line and production documentation. Assist Operations Supervisors and Group Leaders in the implementation of Just in Time and Lean Manufacturing principles in manufacturing areas.  SKILLS:  Bachelor of science degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, and 3 years of experience in medical or other high-reliability manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with planning and executing production line layout projects. Experience with implementation and maintenance of ERP systems. Experience with Statistical Process Control, Just in Time, and Lean Manufacturing techniques. Knowledge of OSHA workplace safety requirements.
